QUICK BIO

Fabien moved to Arizona in 1998 and brought with him a strong background in art history. Born in St. Maurice, France, Fabien's influences include classical and baroque European art and architecture as well as a new breed of urban/modern art. Until he started studying drawing and composition he considered himself an art appreciator, but his college experiences showed that he had a talent and desire to start a career in the arts. While in college he received numerous awards from annual student art shows and continued to develop his skills and understanding of art in a wide range of formats including painting, sculpture, computer illustration, jewelry design and fabrication, printmaking, and ceramics. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in May 2003 and married that summer. After honeymooning for two months in France where he visited every museum and art collection his shoes and wallet could handle he returned with his wife to Phoenix, Arizona where he now resides and works. Fabien has worked hard early in his career to develop his own style and voice. Everyday continues to be a learning experience for him and he often surprises others with his quick thinking as well as his adaptation of new tools and techniques. Fabien is flexible yet maintains a strong work ethic that is shown through the quality of his work.

The LIMITS of being Human and defining what is human, are always a large part of his thoughts and opinions.

The Human Condition.

Humanity as a living entity; the part and the whole.

Mixing the mysterious and the occult with the well-defined understanding of science and categorizations.
